Held at Curlew Cottage, join a friendly and relaxed group of people to learn more about mindfulness. We spend time learning how to 'be in the present moment' and build on that, learning about how gratitude, compassion and 'letting go' can help with stress, anxiety and some chronic pain.

About the Event
Interested in learning more about mindfulness? Whether you're new to mindfulness, or have been practicing for years, you're welcome on this 8 week course that dives into the mindfulness principles.
THe course encompasses a combination of formal and informal meditation as we discuss how the principles of mindfulness (including gratitude, 'letting go', acknowledging and 'being with' our emotions) can help us release and manage stress and anxiety.
There are thousands of studies that have shown how mindfulness can help with stress and anxiety, but also with many other conditions - such as chronic pain, PTSD, depression and many more. Mindfulness is recommended by NICE.
This 8 week course (a combination of the MBSR and MBCT - taking their best bits) will be held in the beautiful, airy and peaceful space at Curlew Cottage, near Hexham.
It will be held on a conbination of Wednesday afternoons and evenings starting on the 20th April.
It will culminate with a retreat day (10am-3pm) on Saturday 11th June, where we will learn about compassion and kindness, and incorporate all of our learnings into a peaceful, relaxing and mindful day including mindful eating, movement and music.
